Aloe vera plant
Aloe vera is a very familiar plant to us. In many of our houses, we have aloe vera plants. It doesn’t take much space to grow aloe vera, also it doesn’t need special care. We can put succulents in a pot, and it will increase after a few days.
Aloe vera is known for its various health and skincare benefits. It has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties and is commonly found in many households. Common names use aloe with a region of its distribution, such as Chinese aloe, Cape aloe or Barbados aloe.

The succulent has a long history of being used for medicinal purposes, dating back to ancient Egypt. The plant is native to North Africa, Southern Europe, and the Canary Islands. Today, aloe vera is grown in tropical climates worldwide.
Aloe vera is a stemless or very short-stemmed plant growing to 60–100 centimeters (24–39 inches) tall, spreading by offsets. The leaves are thick and fleshy and green to grey-green colored. The margin of the leaf is serrated and has small white teeth.

Aloe vera is helpful to us in many ways. Some of them are discussed below.
- First of all, aloe vera is mostly used for skincare. It keeps the skin clear and hydrated.
- It helps to reduce heartburn. We can have aloe vera as juice which is helpful for our health.

- A study shows that an aloe vera plant can purify the air of a room within hours.
- Aloe vera is a common ingredient in skincare products such as lotions, creams, gels, and sunscreens.
- Aloe vera gel is often used as a natural remedy to alleviate the discomfort of sunburn.
- Some people use aloe vera juice or supplements to support digestive health.
Because of its multifaceted usage, aloe vera is an important plant. I planted aloe vera succulent in my terrace three years ago. Now they are many in numbers. I have shifted them into different pots. It can also be planted indoors. When I get time, I spend time with the plants. Sometimes I cut some leaves and use them for various purposes. It is indeed an essential plant.
