I recently visited central Valley of California to capture Almond Blossom. I Visited Rodin Farm which is located in Modesto, CA which is around 60 Miles from where I live. During Almond Blossom season which lasts between end of February to mid March, these farms turn in to a dream land. A great location for photographers.

In fact there is a Almond Blossom Cruise, a dedicated route to view these Almond Blossoms in Modesto, CA

Almond trees are planted in rows, this was shot from center of one of such rows. These blooms, create a breathtaking sight for visitors and locals alike.

Here is a close up picture of almond blooms. The almond blossom season is an important time for the agriculture industry in the Central Valley, as it marks the beginning of the pollination period for the almond trees. Bees play a crucial role in the pollination process, and beekeepers from all over the country bring their hives to the Central Valley to help with the pollination process.

Here is a shot taken perpendicular to the rows of trees. You can also see irrigation system. I was told Almond trees consume lot of water.

Well that’s me posing for a picture with Almond Blossoms in the back ground. Thanks to my wife for clicking this shot!

Here is a portrait shot of rows of almond trees.Visitors to the Central Valley during almond blossom season can take scenic drives along Highway 99, which offers stunning views of the almond orchards in full bloom. There are also several almond blossom festivals held in various towns throughout the region, featuring food, music, and other activities There is one in Ripon CA. Unfortunately I missed the festival this year. I hope I can catch it next season. Also taking a drone is a good idea to capture some areal view. Which is on my list of things to do next season.

Fallen petals have created a white carpet between rows of Almond trees.

Here is another close up shot. Looks like we visited slightly late in the season, we can notice here already leaves are showing up

As someone who lives and has lived in Modesto most my life, it’s awesome to see someone truly appreciate the beauty we have here. Awesome photos and great explanation and story. If you’re ever in the area again, you should check out some of our murals, they’re just as stunning.
