Description:
Currently, Google Maps only allows users to write one review per establishment, and if we return to the place, we can only edit the existing one. I would like to suggest a feature that allows Local Guides to submit a new second or third review for subsequent visits, linking them to the very first one.
Why this is important:
Places change over time (new management, kitchen staff, or reforms). A single review doesn’t show the user’s perception at different moments.
How it would work:
Instead of overriding the text, the app could create a “Review Timeline” or history under the same profile. For example:
- Visit 1 (2024):

“Amazing food and service!” - Visit 2 (2026):

“They changed owners and the quality dropped.”
This would keep the platform secure against spam while giving the community a transparent view of an establishment’s consistency over months or years.
