All love for food <3, no love for vistas </3

A little more than one year ago, I moved to France to a city in the middle of the alps called Grenoble. As I needed to rediscover the city (I had been there 5 years before that), I started using Google Maps intensively, and I decided to give back to the community by reviewing new experiences. In the end, this translated mostly to restaurants and parks/attractions (What can I do? I like traveling and visiting places :P).

I contributed my first photo on Christmas Eve, 2017. Here it is:

If you are curious of how it looks up there in the mountains, fear not! Here is a picture from Chamrousse, which has some sky stations just outside Grenoble:

If you are enjoying all this winter, let me give you one last Neuschwanstein Castle from Germany:

Well, sorry. Let us get back on track. As I was saying, my reviews and photos also ended up including a lot of food and restaurants, as

  1. Most restaurants were new to me;

  2. I wanted to review new experiences;

  3. Knowing where to eat (and where never to eat!) is pretty useful in general. After all, we all have to eat from time to time.

The end result? Lots of photos of meals and restaurants. Let me give you some tiny examples:

Hungry already? Let me show you a nice sushi place:

It was all nice and good, but then I noticed something! Nobody was caring about these lovely vistas T-T. Those pictures up top… do you know how many views they got? I can tell you: 138 the first, 76 the second, 57 the third.

And now you wonder: where are all the eyes going to? You know what? They are all going to food!!!

Just my simple meal photos here got 10k, 20k, or over 600 pairs of eyes already (and that last schnitzel picture is pretty recent). Oh, and that photo from Yuki, you ask? Over 250k (over 5 times the population of the city where it is)!

This is what I mean when I say that we have all our love for food and no love left for vistas ?

I guess that, in the end, we can also say that we have no idea of the impact that the little things that we do can have ? let us keep sharing this love for good things and keep being helpful to one another!

Cheers!
