Hiya all beer lovers!
As I appreciate a good beer (or two) I have a #BeerChallenge.
I hope you can help me guide to your local (craft) beer businesses and show me their product.
In the days of long sea voyages, IPA was extra heavily brewed and extra hopped so that it could be drunk in the colonies. Due to the American Craft Beer Revolution, the IPA has returned to Europe.
Hi there! A great wave of hoppy fruitiness. Our oh so “Beautiful Nel” closes with a very bitter kick. So good!
Anything but boring.
Take me to church
Check out the coolest place for a brewery at the Jopen Church
More Beer! All I want is more beer! So please show me your (local) beers and try to take a nice, no great picture. Try to be creative as you can. Provide good info on the beer.
Want to see more beer check out this barrel full of Witty White’s, Liquid Gold, Ruby Red’s, Big Browns, Sturdy Stout’s and Black Porter’s
Important note: Do not forget we don’t want good food or beer wasted, so drink afterwards!
Hi, @Erik_van_den_Ham Nice post for a hot day! I love IPA too:-))) I’m happy because bars, where provide IPA in Japan, are gradually increasing.
Unfortunately, I haven’t a good photo of my favorite craft beer in my region but I’ll introduce another beer that I tried recently.
This is an organic beer of Bikkuri Donkey. The restaurant is renowned for a hamburger patty but this beer was also nice.
Good morning @HiroyukiTakisawa (well here it is). Thank you so much for the kind words and even more for the contribution. Happy to hear you like a good beer too! Well and also the IPA, as these bitter beers are not appreciated by everyone.
So the Bikkuri Donkey has it’s own beer that is pretty cool. Beer and burger is a really nice combination.
For a moment I thought you misspelled Bayern that is well know for it’s Oktoberfest. Thank you for the great pictures and the fun (that can happen quickly after a few beers).
In their brewery, five special beers are brewed according to traditional methods, mostly based on Belgian recipes.
If possible, malt from organically grown barley from the Vechtdal is used for this.
Pauw Bier is supplied to the catering industry, retail trade and tourist locations, both in kegs (20 l and 30 l with both bayonet and sliding coupling) and in stylish brown 33 cl. Stone bottles with beautiful labels, throughout Overijssel and far beyond.
We have a seasonal label on the bottles for the wheat beer, bock beer and heavy beer:
These not only look good but make want to taste them, especially the Blueberry Ale, how was this one? Of course I want to now how you liked each of these?
Going to check if I can buy them here somewhere or order them online.
Hi @Erik_van_den_Ham . I don’t usually like stouts and like @HiroyukiTakisawa , I am into IPAs, but the Cadillac Mountain Stout was pretty good. The Blueberry Ale was nice and not overpowering. The other beer, the Summer Ale, was pretty traditional light beer perfect for the summer.
If you can’t get it, but can find any New York breweries, I can recommend basically all! Haha
Hiya @TraciC you’re a woman after my heart advising all NY beers! I guess you don’t mean all of them on one night? Right?
Did not conduct a Google search yet. Will do it right away although it’s early in the morning and I usually start with a nice cup off coffee or cappuccino.
Hazy Sunrise
Inspired by the cloudy IPA’s of the USA.
The light haze provides a tingling mouthfeel and more intense hop pleasure…

Life’s too short for boring, middle of the road beers. Craft Brewery Kees! stands for tasty, fruity, hoppy flavours and strong dark ales, but there’ll always be that ‘twist’ . That special ‘something’ that make his beers stand out.
Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA’s, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.
In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA’s, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.
Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends."
The beer session was during Connect Live 2019 @Erik_van_den_Ham if you read people’s personal recaps from search you should find someone talking about it.
I definitely like a brew @Erik_van_den_Ham and I do tend to prefer brews from craft breweries, I would rather pay more for a good drop than pour in a bottle of tasteless commercial swill with bubbles.
I prefer a black beer and my current favourite is Pancho which is a dark porter style beer with chilli in it. It is a grand flavour. Pancho comes from the Red Hill Brewery which is fairly local to me.
Hello @PaulPavlinovich thank you for your contribution to the #BeerChallenge your collage is really great and looks like a perfect playground for beer lovers. I see a Stout’s and Porter so I guess you’re a "Gold & Brown* " man. The heavy ‘real men’ beers (sorry 2 all the ladies). Most of all I like the the cool guy enjoying his beer with his eyes closed! He so handsome looking, do you know him?
Ohh boy’s and gal I’m I mistaken or do I see a pattern occur that #Moderators are synonym for beer lovers?
If so that might be the reason why all of you are so kind and gentle for us LG’s.
We will see how this post develops along the way and if other moderators will join “Paul’s Playground!”
Thanks so far for all the good stuff @HiroyukiTakisawa , @TraciC and @PaulPavlinovich
Yes generally you might refer to black and tan for the beers. The best beers are the ones you can’t see through. No light should penetrate. These are meal in a glass beers. That said, I’m no stranger to golden ales and IPA beers and will happily chug through those on a hot day.
Many people say a dark beer is only for winter but I disagree, a dark beer is for any time. A transparent beer is only for summer :).
For all those not aware what the song is about I can suggest this website. it perfectly explains the song’s meanings.
I totally agree on the beers and even if I’m in need for a decent meal it’s not going to be a liquid (not see through) one right now. Not even start a discussion on the fact if it is healthy or not at 0.15 PM so I will eat this.
