Right now on my android phone all buildings are grey including businesses/ commercial areas which used to be yellow
I tried to login to my account on a different phone and it was the same. When I logged in on the computer, it was like normal with all buildings being yellow when they should be.
On the phone, logging into a different account can allow me to see the businesses as yellow again, but logging back into the original account with automatically make everything grey once again.
I have seem this issue in 2 other posts, but the help has been very bad:
Hi @PhillipMcCann in addition to what @MortenCopenhagen said about checking what layers are selected. Clear your local data and cache on the phone. That can help if the local data bas become confused.
@MortenCopenhagen Thank you very much for your reply. I also tried looking at the layers like the posts I originally showed said. I attached 3 photos showing the screen of the problemed screen, the layers used (I tried switching them on and off), and the screen of a different account showing the correct layout.
@PaulPavlinovich Thanks for the reply. I also tried this out first since it was suggested in one of the the other posts I shared and it did not seem to change anything
I’m trying to understand your issue. If you compare the first and the last screenshot you just shared, then I only noticed that the downtown/shopping area is colored yellow in the last one. Is that the core of your complaint?
@MortenCopenhagen You are correct, like in the two other posts I shared all of the local businesses have lost their distinction being yellow which makes it very difficult to navigate the city (what is a business square, and what is just houses for miles on end). My original account USED to be yellow as well, but for some reason it turned all grey which is useless.
I will forward this information to the responsible team so they can investigate further. Have in mind that this might take some time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
I had a look in my local Maps @PhillipMcCann yellow buildings have businesses that are claimed, verified and set up via GMB (Google My Business) the ones people have just added and are not verified are grey. I’ve not seen any announcement about this but I also don’t think this is new.
