The Norse gods, they intrigue me. From Odin the one-eyed father, wisest of the gods, the god of the gods on his golden throne with his 2 ravens, Huginn and Muninn (thought and memory) to the big brass Thor with his mighty hammer, Mjolnir, ever loyal to his father and ready to brandish frost giants to the sweet Frigg, ever wise, ever faithful to the all seeing Heimdall who guards the bi-frost watching the nine realms, nothing escapes his eyes.
Then we have the trickster Loki, who quite frankly is my best character, I learnt more about him in a book i read recently ‘the testament of Loki’ by Joanne Harris. In this book, Loki is seen as a not so evil / a good man while Odin is seen as a sinister character and Thor is just his pet dog (no pun intended) and of course there are more characters in this story that together, they take you on an epic journey of trust, betrayal and being 10 steps ahead.
as i travel from place to place, i would like to review bookstores and share my reviews as a local guide, books are quite the hobby of mine, its like i am someone else, living their life, like am on another planet, in another time. Books are very interesting to me and i would like to share my moments with you.
