Idea Exchange is my favorite.
The post is based on my experience, creation,and clarification.

How can you help other local guides and their ideas?
If you have intermediate experience of idea exchange, then you can do this.
When I saw the idea that not related to idea exchange but it’s related to different topics of connect,
I will guide that local guide and give some suggestions for better understanding.
If the idea of other local guides are not proper, weak, lack of points, proper presentation and many other factors,
I will give suggestions& advices to them for proper presentation and clarify…
If the local guide is newbie,
I will give important links and try to solve their idea queries.
One of the important,
I will give the suggestion for clarifying the title of ideas.
How can you help Google moderators and make fast progress with saving time?
I like the Idea Exchange most.
I had upload ideas, Some are Closed, some are voting open, and Some are merged.
During this all status transformation, I gain a good amount of experience in idea exchange.
I saw that many local guides are gives the ideas,
Some Same ideas are already posted by other local guides,
Some ideas are already exist, means the features are already exist,
Some are not ideas,
They are connected topics!!!
Some ideas are questions,
Some are looks like only suggestions without proper explanation and purpose,
In all cases,
I put my reply on their local guide ideas and tag a moderator,
For appropriate action on that idea.
After Google moderator, review this idea and give the according status to the idea.
So, between other local guides and Google Moderators,
I make myself as a filter and save lots of time.
And make the procedure faster and reliable.

Why Idea Exchange is not so active compared to different connected topics?
Because,
Different local guides has different point of views,
Some like to publish ideas and write the comments into idea exchanges.
Some like to post public posts and write the comments into different topics, they are only like connect topics.
Ideas are in the idea Exchange is the lengthy procedure,
Because, creation of ideas, publishing the ideas, community votes, community comments, replies to other local guides, modifications in ideas, review of the idea by Google moderator,
It’s a time taking process.
Hence, based on idea exchange policies, the idea has specifications and different criterias compared to posts.
So, if your idea is still open and having good amount of votes,
Congratulations.
The No of votes decides the idea will be Implemented?
Absolutely No.
I saw some implement ideas, that all having less than 10 community votes.
But, they are implemented.
I saw one idea that had more than 700likes, but it’s closed.
Another thing,
That no of votes shows that how many local guides like this & support this idea,
So it’s to create extra boost and lighting to that idea.
And it increases the chances and hope for the idea to be implemented, but not 100%.
What happens if the idea has been closed?
Good news.
If the idea has been closed,still chances have revived that idea.
Closed ideas have the ability to reopen again!!
For this,
We need more modifications, proper clarifications in our ideas.
Sometimes Google moderator asking bit more information and by misunderstanding they closed our idea,
After that we need to give them a reason in reply and our idea is open again!!
If you will see other local guides ideas that has been closed, but you like that idea,
Make sure upvote that idea,
Maybe after some time that idea should be implemented.
Idea Precautions (The Main Reasons of your idea has been Closed and can’t implement)
A similar idea already exists.
Lack of information in ideas.
Lack of purpose in ideas.
Off topic- doesn’t relate to idea exchange.
Copied and duplicated someone’s ideas.
The feature already exists.
Your idea is not related to local guides programs and Google Maps.
Your idea doesn’t fit or Follow the idea policies.
After three months, an idea has less than 10 votes.
After six months,unable to move forward with your idea.
Can’t be feasible to pursue.
Unable to implement.
If you don’t give more information that asked by Google moderator,
After 1 month, your idea will be closed.
Make sure, try to give more information about your idea immediately or in one week.
If your idea having more than one feature,
It has 100%chances to be closed.
Follow to prevent this,
One idea, one feature, one suggestion should be considered.
My Idea Tips
First you will write your idea in a notebook or in a diary. You can also do that using some applications including phone notes apps.
But, I believe in that we need to first write idea physically,
Because when we are writing, all the things appear In front of our eyes and our mind makes things more clear.
We got extra clarification and modification of this is the benefit.
Find one unique feature in your idea,
Your idea should be pointed.
Make the idea as focusing on only one point.
The name of point is purpose.
Unique feature makes your idea more powerful and creates the difference between other ideas.
It’s highly increasing the chances of ideas should be implemented.
You need to that your idea has one and only one purpose, because multiple purpose makes idea more complicated,
And frustrating. The results are that our ideas have been closed and can’t be implemented.
For Example,
The purpose of your visiting restaurant is eating food,
And you are order 2 things, pizza and burger.
Now, just suppose you want to eat both in one bite, are you able to do this?
No, first you need to eat pizza than burger, or burger than pizza.
Multiple purposes adding more burdens that are unable to handle.
Your idea should be multi beneficial or beneficial also. Not only for improvement but one step ahead is that it gives useful benefits also.
Make ideas presentation more clarified and powerful.
Attach useful links, images, videos, GIFs,
Screenshots,Examples,related sources.
After that when the other local guides visit your idea and read that,
They can understand properly.
Try to complete your idea ,
Under 500 characters.
And max upto 800 characters.
Short ideas are easy to read, and take less time.
Compared to long ideas.
You can publish a long idea but try to stay on purpose . It’s important.
You’re need to search your idea,
For checking the same idea or similar idea had published by any local guides?
Read all the related ideas very carefully.
When you are 200%sure, then go for publishing it.
Your idea should be not a question, not a connect topic and related to local guides and follows the idea exchange policies,
That is necessary.
If your idea has been closed,
Don’t feel demotivate,
If the idea is closed that doesn’t means no one cares your idea and your idea is stupid.and this is your insult of ideas and failure of yourself.
We all respect your useful ideas.
Let’s direct to the point,
Don’t make high hopes to idea exchange,
Because many ideas are not implemented, few are implemented.
If your idea should be implemented, congratulations.
But, if your idea is closed, that’s also fine.
Just chill, don’t take this seriously.
Make sure write all these in your ideas,
How can you do this?
What’s your purpose?
Why? Where?
Comparison.
Benefits/Advantages of ideas.
Futuristic scopes.
After that your idea becomes more sharp and reliable.
If your idea has been merged with another local guide idea,
You need to support the initial idea and upvote it.
Pro tips
Title of the idea.
The title of the idea should be short, appropriate, perfect matches to your content & vision.
Do Work on making more short and specific titles.
Because after reading your idea,
The intent has been classified by others.
Short title ideas have more benefits.
They all got high comments and upvotes.
Because it’s very easy to understand.
Your title is your key, and it’s highly important because it is makes an impact on others.
Thoughtful replies.
If you agree with another’s idea, then upvote it and write the comments there.
But but,
If you don’t like or disagree with another’s idea, make sure to avoid it.
Don’t write any comments,
Because different people have different points of views.
Your opinion is yours not others.
Maybe your opinion isn’t liked by the owner of the idea, and after that comments war begins. And makes things publicly to personally.
Avoid that.
Continuous Improvement.
If the Google moderator, or any local guide gives you suggestion,
And it’s beneficial and relevant to your idea, and it’s the cause of your idea for improving,
Think about that,
And do the further changes/modifications in your idea.
The results your idea has got more clarification.

What is the actual reason the idea has been closed?
All ideas suggested here in the Idea Exchange section will be reviewed accordingly by the related team. Once the ideas get reviewed, we will inform the Local Guides according to the updates we received.
Most times, we cannot share the specific reason why we are not able to implement your idea due to our internal privacy reason that we cannot share publicly.

It will help and give some projection to you. And as a practice.
(1)Since we haven’t received any new information from you I am going to change the status of your idea to “Closed”.
We need more information to better understand what you’re suggesting. Can you share the specific things you’d like to see?
(2)I just recommend you before you submit an idea to search the community. It’s possible that someone else has already submitted the same one, so you can show your support by voting for that idea.
Also, please include only one unique feature request in each idea post. If you have several different ideas, create an individual post on the Idea Exchange for each of them.
(3)As mentioned above what you are suggesting is an already existing feature. That is why I am going to change the status of your idea to “Closed”.
(4)As you were advised above your post is not an idea about something the team could improve in the Local Guides program or Google Maps, I`m going to close it.
