Aliyu Bn Abi Talib Juma’at Mosque is one of the oldest Constructed Mosque in Kano State, It is located at Iyaka street zaria road Kano, it covers a very large area along Iyaka street. It is well known for helding weekly weddings throughout the state due to its landmark and it is at the city center, alot of muslims go there for daily prayers .

I’ve always admired the designs of mosques around the world. I think the attention to detail is remarkable compared to most churches and synagoges from newer times.
I’m wondering, is there a symbolic reason for the roofs to be green or is this completely random?

@MortenSI Thanks for the feedback. The green cover on mosque roofs has many advantages: green cover result in eliminated glare and offers visual aesthetic value.

Thanks for letting me know @MuhammadAI . I thought it may have had a religious value, but I didn’t know it was more for practical purposes.
I think it’s a great feature and looks very nice with the white structure.
