I am wondering why Aldi and other stores in IL, do not have electric carts for the disabled? In FL and CT every Aldi has them also other stores have electric carts for the disabled and elderly who can no longer walk for long distances and why is it? Do they simply NOT want the elderly and disabled to shop in their stores? Are Illinois managers and store owners sending a message to the elderly/handicapped: “We do Not want you to shop in our stores”?
You would expect such a HUGE metro state to take care of ALL their customers. The lack of handicapped electric carts sends a loud and clear message: “we do not care if you can walk for miles, or if you are in pain,. if you can’t walk around our store, you are Not welcome here”… Is that so?
I wrote several letters to Aldi stores and others who do NOT care enough to provide a way for the handicapped and elderly to shop around their stores, months ago, almost a year, to no avail, no response, and no obvious change. Why do these same stores have these accommodations in other states, but not here, in IL? I want to know. And #WholeFoodsMarket in Killdeer, only HAS ONE! ONE electric cart for their handicapped customers! This attitude is disgraceful and shameful. I am so disappointed in my Chicagoland people, truly disgraceful.
