Albert Hall Museum.

Caption Albert Hall Museum Jaipur Rajsthan India.

Albert Hall an excellent example of Indo-Gothic architecture. Situated in Jaipur Rajsthan India. It’s a renowned Museum having rare artefacts and objects in its collection. Displaying in various galleries. It’s the oldest Museum of Rajsthan and it serves as Rajsthan State Museum. Ram niwas garden was added to it’s back and this is also a beautiful leisure park.

I had visited this Museum with my wife and she also loved the collection. Ticket is nominal and it’s a wheelchair accessible. Neat and clean toilets, drinking water etc are the facilities available for tourists. It’s a most visited attraction of Jaipur.

Work was commenced in the reign of Maharaja Sewai Ramsingh in 1876 and it was completed in 1880 AD during the reign of Maharaja Sewai Madho Singh II. It’s Superintendent Engineer and Architect was Colonel Samuel Swinton Jacob and Tajammul Hussain was the Supervisor. Thakur Fateh Singh was the Prime Minister and Lala Ram Bakhsh, Shankar Lal, Chotelal etc under whom work commenced. Initially it was proposed as a Community Hall for Royal Concert, later after completion it was dedicated to the Jaipur’s arts and crafts as a museum. Named after the Visit of Albert Edward visited the City as Prince of Wales. Its Indo Sarascenic architecture is magnificent and it’s a popular attraction for the history buffs, photo fanatics, Wanderer, and soul seekers. It remain open 9 am to 5 pm all the days.
It’s famous for its architecture significance and stone work. Its corridors are various painting like Greece, Chinese, Babylonian etc.
It has 16 galleries and displaying Metal Art, Arms and Armour, pottery, Stone Sculpture, Marble Art, Miniature painting, Clay work, Coins, Jewellery etc and Egyptian Mummy remain the major attraction among the children and youngsters.

We were enjoying each moment with priceless Collection. And we had visited twice and again we may visit soon to enjoy real Jaipur through Albert Hall Museum. It was about to be a Community Hall but due to the generous dedication of Sewai Madho Singh we are able to see these collections.
