শারজাহ শহরের শাসক ড. শেখ সুলতান বিন মুহাম্মদ আল কাসিমি সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের শারজাহ শহরে কালবা এলাকায় ২০২৪খ্রি. তারিখের ৩১ মার্চ আল হাফিয়া লেক উদ্ভোধন করেন।
কালবা এলাকায় একটি বিশেষ ল্যান্ডস্ক্যাপ প্রকল্প হলো আল হাফিয়া লেক।
সুন্দর দৃষ্টিনন্দন এই হ্রদটি ১৩২০০০বর্গমিটার এলাকাজুড়ে ৩.২ কিলোমিটার জায়গায় ৪মিটার গভীরতার ১৫৫ মিলিয়ন গ্যালন বৃষ্টির পানি ধারণ ক্ষমতা সম্পন্ন। যার চার পাশে উপত্যকা ও প্রবাল প্রাচীর দ্বারা নির্মিত।
প্রায় ১২কিলোমিটার জায়গায় প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যে ভরপুর বেশ কয়েকটি পাহাড়-পর্বত গুলো কায়কিং, ক্যানোয়িং জন্য সতর্কতার সাথে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। এই লেকে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ছোটবড় প্রমোদযান সহ জলক্রিড়ার দৃষ্টি নন্দন পরিবেশ আছে।
প্রায় ৫০০মিটারের অধিক জায়গা জুড়ে বিশাল বিশ্রামাগার, রেস্তোরা, ক্যাফে, শিশুদের জন্য খেলার জায়গা, নারী-পুরুষদের আলাদা নামাজের জায়গা এবং বিশাল ইসলামিক সাহিত্য গ্রন্থাগার নিয়ে অন্যান্য সুবিধা।
এখানে কোন প্রবেশ ফি নেই।
