During my trip UAE, I visited the Bluewater’s Island and was amazed to see the ongoing megastructure project of Ain Dubai. This massive amusement ride was planned to be inaugurated before the end of year 2020 but because of the pandemic situation the construction work is delayed, and the inaugural day is pushed. Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye) claims to be the world’s tallest Ferris wheel (After the completion of construction project) providing the viewers with the beautiful bird’s eye view of Dubai’s mesmerizing skyline from an estimated height of 250 meters. The London eye stands at 135 meters height and the High roller in Las Vegas stands at 168 meters. It is estimated that the full rotation of Ain Dubai will take approximately 48 minutes and can easily accommodate around 1400 passengers at one time. It is reported by the project contractors that around 9,000 tons of steel is being used in the construction of this engineering marvel Ain Dubai. The total length of cable wires accommodated inside the spoke cables is almost equivalent to 2400 kms. Currently this mega project is at the end of its construction (as reported by the concerned media office) and will be inaugurated soon for the tourists and locals. There are forty-eight capsules attached to the wheel, which will provide some scintillating views of Dubai Marina and landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa. The authorities have reported through their media channel that they will be mounting a massive LED screen on the wheel for broadcasting, advertising, and other activities. In addition to the giant Ferries wheel the Island will be provide many amusement parks, water parks, food restaurants, hotels, and other entertainment activities to attract the tourists.
P.S: Here is the video of the Ongoing construction work at this project site.
