Hi all,
The Connect community guidelines have just been revised with respect to using AI to create text and images.
You can find the updated guidelines here.
The change was implemented after we saw a huge spike in clearly AI-content being shared on Connect.
Notice, that both text and images created by AI need to be “marked” as such.
You can very discreetly mark images in the caption of images by adding “Made by AI” or “Gemini created”. Learn to add captions to images on Connect here.
Try long press the above image, or open it to see the declaration. On Computers hover you mouse over the sample image.
When it comes to texts, the aspect of always including personal perspectives is important. So asking AI to generate a post for you will always need to be declared. And you should not post it without your own opinions, experiences, or perspectives. If you use AI just to rephrase a paragraph to flow better I would not declare it as AI-generated.
The point is to be honest about what you did.
Above or under your text you could write a disclaimer like this:
I used ChatGPT to create this topic.
Or
Gemini helped me create the outline of this topic.
As someone reading a lot of Connect topics, it is not difficult to see when AI was used. Trust me. Please start declaring.
