After the Polar Vortex.... White Flint Park in the snow

We were hit by the Polar Vortex this last week and got a good dusting of snow. I went early this morning to catch the local White Flint Park in its winter coat before it melted. You can visit the 360s on Google Maps here, here and here. You can also find a high resolution virtual tour here.

Gorgeous images @Nick-Hobgood of Flint Park. I’m glad you’re among the survivors of the storm. A challenging event for many, that’s for sure!

Hi @Nick-Hobgood ,

It’s crazy weather in the States! I hear in Chicago it’s been close to -22F. We had this weather long long time ago in Helsinki, where I’m from and it’s crazy.

Your photos are lovely, I like how there is sunbeam in between the trees.

Dear @Nick-Hobgood ,

In Germany it is not such cold, but we have really to much snow in the South. I shoveled snow the last hour…

Hey @Nick-Hobgood ,

Exceptional photos as always! At least it’s beautiful outside. The snow covers all the dirt and it feels like you are in a winter fairy tale.

I could not say the same about the weather in Bulgaria. Yesterday it was almost 15°C (59°F) and I loved it. I hate the cold but I think you already know that from a previous post. I cannot wait for spring.

Thanks @DanniS ! Yeah I often use the tree shadows to avoid having my own shadow in the 360… The added benefit is the sun rays shining through the leaves.

Thanks @MoniDi ! Yes i love that about freshly fallen snow as long as shoveling is not involved
