4 days have passed since the day I returned home after Connect Live 2019, but my life after that did not become the same. No, after returning home, everything is as before, but inside me, as if something had turned upside down.
First of all, I want to send my thanks to the Local Guides team, @TraciC and @brittym for your organization, for your efforts and for your dedication. Thanks to you we had such a great organized event. For us, as participants, this is the best thing that could have happened. I bow to you, I wish you health and strength to do further.
Thank you Google team for all the gifts prepared for us. This is an indescribable feeling of gratitude. Thanks for the Pixel 3XL (I’m already making new better contributions from this phone), thanks for the socks we`ve just dreamed about, thanks for all the gifts that the Local Guides brought from their countries.

Also thanks to all the organizers of meet-ups. Thanks to them, we were able to get to know each other better, get experience from other Local Guides and have a great and fun time. @EmekaUlor thanks for your accessibility meet-up, this is my first experience of such a meet-up. After it, I realized how difficult the situation is with accessibility in Ukraine and how it is treated in USA.
And a big hug to my husband @Dumitru who was next to me and was remembered by everyone as “husband of Ania” ))).
What is Connect Live 2019 for me, expectations and reality?
I will say one thing that I got the most positive effect from Connect Live 2019, which I didn`t expect. Firstly, this is a huge opportunity not only meet the best Local Guides from around the world, but make friends with them in 4 days so that when you say goodbye, your heart breaks with the thought that you can never meet them again.
Secondly, this is motivation and emotional explosion, these are the stories of achievements, great experience, this is getting new knowledge and making new practices. It’s such an energy boost that after Connect Live you can’t stop anymore, you want to make this world a better place, you want to share your ideas, you want to make good quality contributions and not to stand still, but to learn and develop. And most importantly, you are not the same as before.
To Local Guides from around the world, I want to say that the value of our community is in people and in what they do for others. We should try to make the highest quality contributions and help other people, because it is really very important for them.
I am writing this recap and my heart is beatting faster from such warm and unforgettable memories…
