I have added a missing place in salt lake Kolkata. But it’s not showing up, please help…

After adding have you checked in the Status of it, in Edit Menu, Or have you received email of Pending or Approve.
It could be, Not Applied, Pending or Approved.
If it is Pending it may take time till it is Approved.
If it is Approved, it may take some time to appear on the map.
Click on the Approved place in the Edit Menu, it will direct it to that place.
Many time name appears only when you search for it on Maps.

If it is not applied there must some issue in actual name, place, address etc. You need to check and retry again .
Or it may be already existing or somebody has already applied and pending for Approval.

One more issue I have if somebody wants to claim this listing is there any option to skip postcard verification rather doing it with phone verification.
Postcard usually needs three weeks time to arrive that’s why one of my clients wants to verify it through the phone. Is there any option for that kindly help.

- About “postcard verification”, I think this is you are referring for Google My Business, may be expert from GMB may give correct answer.

GMB is a separate thing than LG program. As a local guide ID suggest you to ask your client to download Google My Business app. In the app you’ll get 3 options to verify the business.
3 verification process will be available based on the business category. I’d recommend you to ask more questions about GMB in it’s forum.

The Local Guide program is for individuals adding to the map from their own experiences.
As a professional that is helping your clients to appear on the map, you should not be participating in the Local Guide program. Instead you should be using the Google My Business program.
The postcard is what is going to allow Google to confirm the business exists. You will have more success that way.
