The Cherry blossom season is going on in Japan. Depending on the prefecture, the blossoms are a little earlier and later, but this year the blossoms are from the end of March to the end of April. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Tokyo now. However, some species of Yoshino cherry trees have bloomed 15 days earlier, as I mentioned in my post. But now cherry blossoms are everywhere.
The Prunus subgenus Cerasus tree’s flower are the white colored cherry blossoms are seen everywhere.

Ancient Origins of Cherry Blossoms
The centuries-old tradition of hanami (view of cherry blossoms) probably began in the Nara period (710-794 CE), originally practitioners celebrated under ume (plum trees). Hanami, which revolves around admiring plum blossoms rather than cherry blossoms, is still celebrated in modern times, hanami is mostly centered around sakura (Cherry blossoms)
Originally, hanami was a festival exclusive to the Japanese imperial court. However, over time period, the tradition spread to the general culture of Japan and beyond the boundary.
In Japanese culture, the cherry blossom, or “sakura”, referred as the fleeting nature of life, renewal, and the joy of spring, with its short blooming period (Maximum 2 weeks) of time serving as a reminder of that ‘Nothing is permanent’ and seize beauty of the present.
To feel the vibrancy of the cherry blossoms i have been to several park of Tokyo, as these parks celebrate Cherry blossoms as possible they could. Get together, picnic, Concert, street food fair, relaxing under sakura tree all are so enjoyable.
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
144 acres of the park has 1500 cherry trees its located on tokyo’s busiest place shinjuku. Over 2000 tree were planted.
The short lifespan of the cherry blossom, which blooms for a few weeks before falling, is a powerful message for the transience of life and the importance of cherishing the present.
The blooming of the cherry blossom marks the arrival bell of spring, a time of new beginnings after a long, frizzy winter.
In Japan, the cherry blossom is an essential symbol of spring, ressembles the end of winter and the promise of warmer weather and new life. Family get together, relaxation, partying these are the cultural aspects of celebration.

Ueno Park
The most popular park of Tokyo is Ueno park, about 800 cherry trees arranged the beauty of Ueno park. National art museum, royal museum, museum of nature and science, western art Museum, Ueno zoo all are located in Ueno park.
The tradition of “hanami” or flower viewing parties is a beloved cultural practice where people gather under cherry blossom trees to enjoy the beauty of the flowers and celebrate the season.
The Japanese concept of “mono no aware” (物の哀) (or “pity for things”) is closely linked to the shakura , where the bittersweet consequences of beauty and the knowledge that all things are fleeting.
The ueno park is over crowded as the Admission cost was absolutely free. In the sakuta festival street food stall, sakura fair, Concert, music, photographing, videographing, street show were the part of the festival. There was a dining area. Also requested to keep the park clean and and Don’t plucked the flower.
In Shinto, cherry blossoms are said to hold holy spirits or energy or power, and in Buddhism, they symbolize the transience of life. In the park Ueno Toshogu Shrine can be seen. Many people pray during shakura festival.
Cherry blossoms are considered a national symbol of Japan representing the country’s identity and culture. For these sakura season many products, accessories, fashion cloting, Bakery, souvenirs are influenced by sakura. They resealed limited edition sakura inspired products.
The cute little fellow also enjoying sakura. All pets were enjoying so much.
The people with disability were also enjoying spontaneously, this so remarkable things.
To safe and clean the eco system all trash, paper, cans and plastics are collected through this area. And everyone is fully maintained the rules. Because its our responsibility to carry out our own trash and keep the beauty and cleanliness of our mother earth.
Beyond the festival, cherry blossoms can also represent new hope, new beginnings, well fortunes, love, friendship, good health and good luck. Seize and cherish the present moment, value everything what you have, Nothing lasts forever.
