Adventures of an Urban Foodie

My name is Evelina Brichko, I’m a local guide from Israel, and this is my first post

My favorite things to share on google maps are objective honest critiques about places to eat and drink in. I explore my local area and I’m glad to share my observations with the world.

My first steps as a local guide were when I didn’t actually know that someone is reading my comments. I was simply answering the google maps questions, more intending to the business itself to see my opinion.

I consider myself as a foodie, and I could never choose the answer for the question “what is your favorite food?”. I love burgers and sushi, sweets and pickles, fine dining and grab-on street food…

Lately I expanded my field of interests to other countries and cities.

Every location I visit, every trip I plan, includes a map of places to have a fancy dinner as well as grab something on the way.
I prepare a google map for every new destination and fill it with recommendations from google, blogs and friends.

The food is a way of communication. It’s connecting people, it shows us the culture of the locals. Every great food has it’s origins in mom’s or grandma’s cooking. Every chef is inspired by something from his childhood. That’s why I pay attention to hidden pearls of “simple” food, in every place I visit and glad to share it with the world.

See you soon in the next post
