Adventure motorcycling and Ladakh

Being adventure motorcyclist I love exploring parts of India. Ladakh is the first choice for adventure motorcycling. It is famous for its natural beauties and monasteries, what I like most about this part of India is mountain passes, few of them are highest Motorable mountain pass. On my way to “Pangong Tso”, I drove through “Changla Pass” second highest Motorable pass at an altitude of 17688 FT. Driving through these roads is an mesmerizing experience full of scenic beauty of Ladakh, and it’s amazing and serene weather. These roads offer some real challenges for motorcycling as roads often become slippery and often times have to cross rivers on motorcycles.

Pangong Tso, main attraction of Ladakh is located at eastern part of it at an altitude of 13943 FT. Lake is surrounded by mountains, mountains and lake makes it beautiful landscape and scenic beauty for photographers. Each time of day has different colors here and one can witnessed it by staying here. Lodging and boarding facilities are good and economical for those who want to spend a day or two here. Though, it has its own challenge as air is very thin and low in oxygen due to its altitude.

Due to heavy snow storms most of the time milestones are buried under snow and Google map saved the day. Thanks to Google’s services I can able to reach Pangong Tso and able to make one the most beautiful memories of life time.

Prior to this I was not an active “Local Guide” but after this trip I realized that I too can add value to this program. I became an active “Local Guide”, answer questionnaire, add photos and provide honest review which can be helpful to people like me who loves adventure motorcycling. I tried to make an impact through my work and resource to social community, but this was offline. Google helped me to scale this up and through it now I can reach to number of people and create an impact in their lives too.
