Living in a city, where more than 70% of the locals do have smart phones but are not contributing the maps and helping others. I have been educating to my friends and family that whenever the notification pops-up for a place you visited, try to share with the relevant information in order to help others.
As a local guide, I try to share as much as information I do have a place where I have visited or adding small business in order to help them growing. Most of the small business owners are not very tech-savvy and can’t afford services from a professional who could help them to setup a google business profile and publish their business on maps. Helping the business owners by adding their business on maps always help them by providing reach to the people who are basically living in the area but are unaware of that business / service. And on the other side it help the locals of that area to get service from the business that might be next door but they are unaware due to unavailability on Google maps or due to no reviews.
Apart that many known places are missing due to no update from the locals, which not only confuse the people who are commuting or searching that area for specific purpose like a branch of a bank but to waste their time by searching that.
I believe being a responsible citizen, one should opt this responsibility to spare some time in a day and update the places using their timelines. This will not only help the locals, but will help to those as well who are willing to travel that city or your area for the very first time.
PS. If anyone is willing to travel Pakistan for the first time and need some information or assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
