Please let me know in detail about adding new places on Google Map

I am having issues finding places places to add to maps. one thing that I have done is if I see someone building a new building or in progress of opening a new place with a coming soon sign. I will snap photos pin the map and submit a ticket then add company website if its corporate company and add information from the website. hope that helpped
