Adding New Places on Google Maps for Emerging Institutions

I am from Western Region, Ghana. There are new businesses and institutions emerging from time to time at my area. Many of the managers are not familiar with adding and managing places on Google Maps. As a local guide, I’ve been trying my best to add some of such places.

  • I want to know how best I can approach some of these businesses and institutions regarding this issue.
  • What Google Map policies do I have to consider before?

As a local guide, you can always add a new business.

Below are the guidelines for creating a new entity.

Though these are primarily for the business owners, other users also need to follow the same.

However, fine-tuning of the information may not be possible for an LG like special business hours etc.

You can help and guide the owners to claim the business and do that subsequently.
