I am Martin from the nation of Uganda, located in East Africa.
I love adding new places, most especially those areas that interest me alot.
In the past 6 months, I have shared organisations and churches because I believe many people in my country find trouble locating places since many of them do not even have signposts (directions).
I share alot on google maps because in my country we now have organisations such as Uber, Taxify and Safe Boda; which rely entirely on what is available on Google Maps in order to transport their clients to desired / requested destinations. I believe it is one way of moving my country from third world to first world country using the power of technology.
I also hangout alot and I feel it is the right thing to add those places which I believe interest me and would most likely be of interest to another person. I really love showing a traveler the right path to their destination more accurately.
There’s this place called Green Meadows in Tororo district, eastern Uganda - it is a lovely hotel with affordable and decent guest houses but its location, if it wasn’t for google maps - would be extremely impossible to find because of its hidden location.
As long as Google Maps is available for me to access, I will always add new places, review existing ones in order to make traveling to unknown destinations more friendly and comforting.
