My rendezvous with Google Maps is accidental while I was browsing for some place and seen some misplaced info… Voila and I submitted my request for updation and shortly I received an popup from Google to join the community of #LocalGuides .
Present time
Being a traveler of new places (mostly less visited) I often face the issue of finding good joints to have a healthy and delicious meal and good places to stay; That’s where I feel I may be of some help to other fellow travelers by updating facts and details about places I visit personally. I try to click a pic of menu or special dishes while checking out places. I always try quick bites first to assess the quality of food served. I prefer checking facts of minute details like accessibility, location, parking et. al.
Here’s a pic from my recent trip with children to Presidential Estate in New Delhi for change of guard ceremony. After witnessing the ceremony we were hungry so I picked up my phone and searched for restaurants nearby and this restaurant came up in list inside some lanes, we decided to check it out. Indeed our decision for going with google recommendation turned out to be awesome as the taste was yummy [even my mouth started watering by just seeing the pic :)]

February 2018-- As my train to Gogamukh from #Kamakhya railway station was scheduled for 9 PM and I reached quite early from airport for station. While I was strolling in the nearby market during evening and I found this small outlet of Sweets. Having ample time and being little bit hungry decided to check out the sweets which are just arriving from their kitchen in a covered containers. Incidents like this inspire me to keep on updating places and adding reviews with personal ratings. I do regularly carry out fact checking for the places I had visited like accessibility for disabled and children.
My favorite play with Google Map is finding/ trying good street food joints as well as proper restaurants.
