I have added 200+ missing roads in the entire world like India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Germany, Srilanka

For more than 15 years I’ve taken my time to study the roadmap in west and by observation there seem to be a lot of unanswered questions as to why we keep having location problems and complications on Google maps in Africa and other developing part of the world.

To start with, we understand firmly that a roadmap is a high-level strategic document that is created and maintained to communicate the strategic vision and objectives of a product.

The structure of development have been so dynamic and unpredictable.

The government have always been responsive only when it have become a point of attraction leaving rural designation to wealthy explorers and as a result the sudden need to rearrange and organize as the roads are affected by subsequent changes.

Dear @TravellerG

Everyday add 10 roads

Google Map Approved 5 Roads/day and other is pending

I do edits and Road Creation only

A few months ago @SholaIB started a challenge in Connect for adding Roads (3Thousand roads add campaign 2023 TRAC ), and after achieving the goal in one month we are now trying to reach a new goal, with 50 thousand roads added.

I would like also to inform you that the area of the community where you are posting (Road Mapper) is reserved to posts about a specific program for mapping roads by specific challenges. For this reason I am asking a Google Moderator, @DeniGu ,to move your post on the achievement topic, where other Local Guides can congratulate, and get inspired, by your results.

@TravellerG , don’t get discouraged. If you are looking for some tip about adding roads please read 3000+, and counting. My tips for adding roads in Google Maps . Following that tips to date I have added other 2500+ roads, and I am now getting quickly close to 6000

Of course, I have read your different posts (on Roads) a number of times. I achieved the current scores because of those only - of course, I do remember & thank our Naresh Ji, too.

I have a specific doubt - do we need to press the ‘DONE’ button & the “SUBMIT” button for every separate road? Or add a few road of the Zone and then SUBMIT?

KINDLY GUIDE ME, please.

Thanks for your question, @TravellerG

At the beginning of the Road Editor (Jan 2022) I was adding as much roads as possible in a single edits. The approval was by operators only, so everything was usually approved in a couple of weeks. With the transition to the AI that kind of edits was mostly rejected, so I had to change my mind, and submit the edits in a separate way. In this way most of my edits are approved in 12 - 72 hours

I liked more the first way of adding roads, even if obviously I was receiving less points, but when a hard work to add a whole small village in a single shot is rejected the disappointment is big, as you waste a lot of time for just 15 points.

So I moved to a simplified way, adding a single road (or a couple of interconnected roads) on each edit. They are approved quickly, so after a couple of days I go back in the area and append the other roads to the ones previously approved.
