Adding local businesses on Google map

I learnt from the community that we can help small businesses during this pandemic time.

I guess one of my helping is to add them into Google Map, add review and take photos.

  • I did not take any measure before because I did not even know how to pin the map. I have been to many places but most of the time I did not add on map.
  • About 3-4 months ago, I learnt that my from colleague about how to pin map and it is very helpful.
  • As I travel a lot, I help add new tourism destinations and products that were missing from the map.
  • In town, I also add small businesses and provide a bit of description, including doing first reviews in hope that it will help others to reach those places too.
  • I added about 30 small businesses onto the map and quickly Google approved them.
  • I will add more in the coming future.

Hi @Sophia_Cambodia you are doing a great work. There are millions of businesses that still need to be added to the map. Even some documented businesses have their map pin in wrong locations. In all , these are ways of promoting small businesses.

Thank you @Emmik20 since many LGs here have taken that direction, I also think that I could help small businesses in my area as well.

So far, I only focus on tourism destinations like my article here. Now, many people know this place too.​ Many people planned their trip there and also hire a local guide there. So, I directly help them through my map and also my post in social media. I indirectly help to increase their sale too.
