My friend purchased some land in Detroit. The land is vacant and he and his friends have been putting a lot of time into turning the land into a public use park. I would love too add this place to Maps, but I can’t figure out how to do that. I don’t have a computer, so I want to try and do it from my phone. Is there a way to add this park? Thanks

@MrJohnLundh sure you can do it with your phone. First open the google map. Then select the three bar icon in the search box. From the menu you can find ‘add a missing place’ and just tap on it. Enter the details accurately and mark the location on the map exactly. Finally you have to submit and wait for the approval. You may add some nice pics as well

Yes , I agree, that’s exactly how I do it with my phone. I would like to emphasise that the picture part is very important. Post the photo along with the details. However, if your friend hasn’t built anything there yet, you can take a picture of it when the building is ready and update that later.

On the other hand, if you would like to add the borders of the land, please follow these instructions to Draw lines & shapes in My Maps.
