By skinny I mean just adding the business name, location, correct the pin if necessary, and add a couple of supporting photos. By the whole enchilada, I mean adding the above, telephone number, website, and any other information about the business that you can confirm.
Recently I was talking to some other Guides about what factors determine how long it usually takes to get an edit for adding a new place to Maps approved.
The discussion started in an unrelated topic. ErmesT suggested that I start a new topic on the subject. So here we go.
Here are links to the existing replies that are in the Re: 318 Stars AvgStarViewsDay (August 2023) topic, with a very brief description of what was said,
Perhaps @ErmesT or @MortenCopenhagen will move them to this topic.

Rednewt74 asked MortenCopenhagen about only adding minimal info when adding a new POI.

MortenCopenhagen replied to Rednewt74 that he had never made such a recommendation, that his method is to gather and add as much info as possible when adding a new POI. He suggests that it was ErmesT that recommended the minimalist approach.

@tony_b replied to
Rednewt74 saying his approvals are usually very quick and uses the method as MortenCopenhagen does
Tony_b and MortenCopenhagen are of the school of thought that you should include all the information that you have when first adding the POI. ErmesT is of the opinion that you should add just the minimum and then go back and have additional information.
I’ve been doing it both ways, and for me having just the minimum seems to highly improve the chance of immediate approval. I then go back and add the other information that I have, and how long that approval will take varies considerably. I prefer knowing right away that the POI edit was accepted, and am willing to take the time to go back to add the other information.
Which way do you do it?
I hope other guides will jump in and write about their positive and negative experiences and their thoughts on how to speed up and improve their approval rates.
