As living in remote area of the developing country, Myanmar, there are a lot of things to be added in Google map about our local places such as adding road, street names, landmarks, and etc… info about almost everything . But, unfortunately, we the local guide cannot even do adding missing road and landmarks except editing a few items like adding missing places though we are willing to help Google mapper as possible as we can. Why is it restricted now to do so in our country? Can anybody please tell me the reasons? How can we know who is our region head? Can G-mapper trust and grant us to accurately add the missing things of our local places that should be on Google map?
Hi @charleszova
You have ask so many questions in just one post and I will try to answer as much as I can.
Adding New Road
- Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Maps app
- Go to the location where the missing road should appear
- Tap the menu
and tap Send feedback
- Tap Missing road
- Move the map so the marker is on the missing road
- Add the name of the road and any additional information
- Tap Send
and if you want to edit street name then Go to send feedback option as mentioned above and there you click on wrong information and tap on the road you want to edit, correct the name and send.
If it is right and verified by Google team then they will accept your edit.
And for landmarks, click on adding missing place on the same Send Feedback option.
Hope I was able to answer all three queries.
Thank you.
Hi @charleszova and thank you for reaching out.
Not all functionalities can be available in all regions, but what you can do, if you didn’t do it already, is to go to Your opinion about Maps, and explain in details the missing information.
@AnshukMitra thank you for your help. However, please note that I unmarked your answer as a solution because for this specific case it is not the solution.
