I’ve been waiting for the Desktop Road Editor feature on Google Maps in my region since @ErmesT shared the post “Roads for Everyone - Helping Others with the New Road Editor.” Although the Desktop Road Editor was announced last year, but it was released in India in July of this year. Just then, I discovered what I was looking for and began adding roads to maps to reach my aim of connecting cities to nearby villages on Google Maps, which I am thoroughly enjoying.
As I am a GIS analyst, drawing a road is a straightforward task for me. So far, I’ve added over 1500 roads to the map of which 1000+ have been approved and other (longest) roads are still pending. The overall length of all these roads is more than 2500 kilometers, with the longest road added by me approximately 17 kilometers.

Wow this is a great achievement worth celebrating very loudly on connect welcome to the 1K Road achievement club. I have been aiming at reaching it but so far I haven’t gotten too far. For some reasons it’s not just working too well for plus I have been busy and lazy to get on the desktop as well.
This is one activity on the maps local guides shy away from. 80% of local guides have a big zero sitting on their profiles when it comes to roads. Lol

I’ve been trying to add all the local grocery shops in my area.
Some have been published and others are still pending. I’ve noticed once you add the place it takes days for it to even show on the maps. Has there been any issues or reasons why that’s happening?

Welcome on the 1k club, @NareshDarji . 1000 roads in two months is an impressive result, considering that it took one year to me to have 2000+ road approved. As far as I know it is a quite exclusive club, as actually only 3 Local guides shared a 1k+ achievement
Adding road is a so interesting activity, and I am sure that a GIS analyst can only fall in love with the New Road Editor. Can’t wait to see more people posting about their record. Together we can literally change the aspect of the world
