I try ta add places to my list, but I don’t have the option. I have to alive the place card, go to the list, and then search the place vis the list…it’s pretty annoying.

Adding places to your lists is normally done only by finding the places on Google Maps and then hit Save.
How would you prefer it to be?

You can proceed in two ways:
- From the “Saved” tab scroll down to "Your List" then tap on “+ New list”
- From “Contribute” tap on “Contribute Now” then select “= Create Lists” then tap on “+ New list”
After that point the procedure is exactly the same, as detailed on Create a list of places
- tap on “+ New list” to enter the list Creation Page
- Tap on the big “+” on the bottom to add places selecting them from Google Maps
The procedure described, and shown here below is from Android.
Remember to customise your list and to select the photos if you want to make your list available to be featured in Google maps

Hi, @EyalD - as @MortenCopenhagen mentioned, you should have the ability to add a POI to a list directly from the listing whether you’re using GMaps on a mobile device or desktop. You can find the “save” button (as seen below) within a POI, which will then allow you to see a list of your lists, from which then you can select the desired list you’d like to add it to.

To include some more places in an existing list, it’s but natural to start with the edit option in the list itself @EyalD
Here, when we hit the + button, a search box appears at the top.
When we type something partially, suggestions pop up at the bottom.
However, selecting the desired items through those recommendations becomes a futile attempt.
The app will say “Can’t add this place”. That’s a lacuna at present and you can suggest resolving that in the Idea exchange.
Nevertheless, you would see another option “Choose on Map”.
Then you can browse the map and locate the desired place.
Even then, that zoom in and zoom out becomes cumbersome here too.
In this way, opening the place card and then selecting the target list when we hit the save button becomes the most convenient option.
But, you are saying, searching a newly added place in a list is annoying.
I find the places appear in the Last In First Out I.e. LIFO order. So the latest entrant will be at the top. That shouldn’t be inconvenient.
