@InaS consider this as a reply to you too.
I mostly like the culture of Sri Lanka. Cultural dances, cultural music, religious historical places etc. I hope to publish more photos regading our Sri Lankan Culture and Historical places.
the bell show in the photo is a monumental bell which was build by Thailand Buddhist societies .You can imaginate the size of that one with the photo attached in this reply. This is located in the path to the hill shown at the back of this photograph. It is where the foot print of shakyamuni Lord Buddha is situated which is well known as the Adam’s peak or “Sri Padhaya” in Sinhalese (mother toungue of sri lanka).
in Buddhist tradition is held to be the Footprint, in Hindu tradition that of Shiva and in Islamic and Christian tradition that of Adam or that of St. Thomas. There is a season for climbing this hill which is 2215 m high and spread around 22380 hectares of land. The season begins on December and ends on May. The Adam’s peak is a forest reservation which is full of endermic species of animals and plants. This place is having a high attraction among the foreigners. When i went there this december i met people from France Checkoslovia Spain Finland India Nepal England likewise.
There are small shops to buy food. You can find those shops (actually we can’t call them restaurants ) upto 1800 m of height. There are Medical teams and doctors and staff to aid if theres someone who got get injured, Police checkpoints and The Army Navy and Airforce guardsmen are visiting there frequently to help the development of this place using their strength.
Actually im now 21 years old and now i have visited 19 times. It means my parents have carried me to the Adam’s peak since i was just 1 year old.
