Activities to celebrate the Merlion golden jubilee.

SA-WAS-DEE-KA FROM SINGAPORE

Today is day 9 I came here to travel And it’s really lucky that I will have a chance Celebrating Merli’s birthday 50 and still fabulous

Singapore’s Merlion has been a point of intrigue for years now, drawing in tourists and making for a must-visit for those visiting the country. As the statue turns 50 on September 15, the Singapore Tourism Board has planned several activities to celebrate the mythical creature’s golden jubilee in style. and one of activities that I am interesting is " Merli-Go-Round x Merlion 50.

Merlion “hunters” can also explore the island to discover all six official Merlions through the “Merli-Go- Round x Merlion 50th edition” game on the Singapore Travel Guide app or find them through the Prudential Merlion 50 Hunt Challenge.

There would be 5 quests* (Merlions’ locations) available for the visitor to complete. Simply head to the location stated at the bottom of each quest. Upon arrival, click “I am here!” to check-in and complete the quest.

There are only five (5) locations to visit even though there are 6 Merlions to locate as the Ang Mo Kio location has a pair of identical Merlions.

5 Locations to visit

Merlion at Mount Faber

Merlion at Tourism Court

Merlion Cub at Merlion Park

Merlion at Merlion Park

Merlions at Ang Mo Kio

When completed all 5 quests. You can redeem the reward at Singapore Visitor Centre @ Orchard gateway. In the end I just did all these quests activities today. It was fun and tiring.

Hi @ONEONE

Happy 50th anniversary to Merlion. And thank you for sharing so much information. :tada: :heart_hands:

I didn’t know there were 6 Merlions. I am very surprised.

In addition, the stuffed animal you are holding in the last photo is so cute! I want one too.

Nice post @ONEONE ! I was recently in Singapore and had a great time exploring the city! And yeah, there are definitely a lot more Merlions around but aren’t always recognised as ‘official’. I’m glad that you’re having a great time in Singapore!
