Located within 550 miles of the entire population in the United States, home to one of the nation’s great universities, center for Aviation and trade, amazing parks & recreation, dynamic food & night life can only serve as the soil that fetilizes the limitless acres of diamonds located inside the people who live, work, play and volunteer in Columbus, Ohio.
What I’m passionate and love sharing most on googlemaps, as a local guide is catching people doing good. We are the ?'s in the location that keep our businesses clean, shelves stocked, and things interesting in the places people visit and care about most.
My unique experience as a local guide, in Columbus rather choosing to #getaroundcbus in your car, on a scooter, pedicab, taxi, in a rental, ride share, or on the cbus there are over ? 2,500 #CertifiedTourismAmbassadors dedicated to providing visitors with an amazing experience. One just has to look for the gold ? lapel pins.
There are so many young people ? gravitating towards this city right now, not just because of the University or the big tech companies moving in or its location, location, location but because of the people who live or relocate here.
I specifically just love making a contribution and being a part of the global community. Posting photos, answering questions and writing reviews catching people doing good is just what I do, people need people and feedback is the breakfast of champions.
It seems discouraging, although it’s true, that people tend to pay close attention to bad reviews and ratings. I believe there is more good going on then meets the eye. Clean, organized stores, well stocked shelves and smiling faces go a long way in keeping communities flourishing and repeat customers coming. As a Google Local Guide it puts us in a position as a Global Force to Catch more people and businesses doing good in our community by working together to compile information with other guides, but more importantly get accurate depictions of what to expect when we get to our destinations.
With over 1,000,000 photo views on #GoogleMaps I enjoy contributing photos of everyday places I frequently go and people care about most where people work, eat and play; From, cashiers at Walmart, waitresses at Eddie’s Chicken and Waffles to the bus driver on Cota, to the new Japanese Cuisine on the on the busline, or recognizing how the owner of a local corner Store who has great service and turned a once run down Corner Store into a place you wouldn’t mind visiting, to fast food chains, giving feedback definitely brings value to businesses and ultimately to the people who own work and support the local businesses.
As a #localguide, Google Maps helps me keep the spirit of Discovery and exploration alive in #Columbus.
