Account Data

I noticed on a Google Support site that data between two Google accounts that hare local guides cannot be merged. Is this true? If so, what happens to all of the data I have published on a Google account that I delete?

Hi @abenjaminperkins

Do not confuse Google account with Local Guides Program. You can have several Google accounts but, according to the program rules, you can join the Local Guides Program only with one accounts. If you joined the Local Guides program with more than one account, you should exit with the secondary account now. To exit from the program, follow this link: https://maps.google.com/localguides/home/settings

As it is not possible to have more than one account, it is not possible to merge the contributions.

All the data that you have published will remain related to your Google Account, but you will note receive point for the contributions as point are related to the Local guides Program only.

If you want to remove your contributions, you can delete manually one by one all the photos and reviews. If you want to remove the association between your answer and your account, follow the indications on this post: How do I delete my answers to questions on Google Maps? Of course, if you do this with a Local Guide account, you will also loose the point related to the answer.

If you close a Google account, all the contributions of the account will not be longer associated with you.

Please note that with the last two actions (deleting answers and closing a Google account) is not possible to revert it back

Thanks for the explanation!

Additionally if you delete the account @abenjaminperkins all the contributions will also go.
