Accessible Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola

Hello friends!

Today I had the opportunity to review all the accessibility actions carried out by the San Ignacio de Loyola University, another well-known institution in Lima, Peru. This university has over 50 years of existence and also has educational institutions in Paraguay, Bolivia, and even a university in Miami, Fl, U.S.

Due to its high-quality standards it was not difficult to find wheelchair ramps throughout the campus, as can be seen in the photos. They also have accessible bathrooms and in other cases for the general public (students). I noticed that they also have wheelchairs in each pavilion, in order to solve exceptional situations.

Student services (cash registers, and so on) give preference to people with disabilities, mothers with babies or pregnant women. It is important to emphasize that this priority regulation responds to current Peruvian laws. It is also my knowledge that students with disabilities are treated in a more personalized way, with tutors, special programs and some more flexibility, so that they can achieve their goals without restrictions.

With regard to parking, I could see several spaces assigned to people with disabilities or pregnant women. Regardless of the hour, those spaces are for them. #accesible #accessible

In summary, this place is clearly doing things well, there is always room for improvement of course. I hope this post has served you,**the idea is to create awareness and empathy among all the people around the world. @Jesi @EmekaUlor **

Hugs!

@marcorp this is an awesome discovery. I believe your reviews and photos on the map will give visitors to the university more useful details about accessibility.

This is why we should engage more with meet-ups, we tend to uncover the unknow which could help millions of people.

Kudos to the university for creating an inclusive campus for all students. Keep guiding.

Cheers
