Accessible Life (in Google Earth) - Live presentation - Sunday, April 11

The day has finally come !!

Accessible Life (in Google Earth) will be presented Live on Sunday 11 April at 2:00 PM GMT in Facebook and YouTube

Accessible Life is a project created to help all people explore nature and public places, regardless of their mobility, with the ability to share these accessible places on Google Earth. With Accessible Life we want to be able to offer information on those places accessible in the open air which, by their nature, cannot be adequately managed through the accessibility information available in Google Maps.

Accessible Life is a Volunteer Program that grows with the contributions of each of you.

Contributing is easy. Do you want to know how to do it?

We are waiting for you live, to show a preview of the program

Do you have a question for us about Accessible life in Google Earth?

Myself, @KarenVChin , @Jesi , @JaneBurunina , @LightRich will be happy to respond.

We will select the best questions to respond Live.

Join us and ask your question on the RSVP form

This is big step into the “Accessibility Pond” that will help so many groups in our communities @ErmesT

Every contribution. small, medium, or large, will be make Google Earth better for all of us.

Can’t wait to talk about this very important topic and listen to the accessibility questions that will be asked by the Team and by the audience.

Lots of synergies will be happening!

Cheers,

Karen

I am sure you will have a Lot of Contributions, @Jesi

Working with My-Maps is easy, but sometimes we do not se a reason for doing that.

With accessible life we have a Huge reason for contributing: helping others in a clear, visible, direct way

You are right, @KarenVChin

Every contribution matter. It is not important if the place is huge, or very small. A small Accessible Outdoor place can change the life of a person with limited mobility, and give to this person the possibility of a more “Normal Life”

Limited mobility doesn’t necessary mean “disabled”, nor wheelchair. I am thinking about parents with children, elderly people with a walker.

They have the right to enjoy Nature like everyone else.

Most of the Outdoor Areas are not classified as Accessible in Google Maps even if, in most of the cases, the places are fully or partially accessible

That’s why we need the experience of the Local Guides, to identify and share the places in the Accessible life Project

Yeah, @LaloPadilla

no more sneak pics, simply the whole project deployed for everyone to see, for everyone to play, and hopefully, for everyone to contribute.

A new way to discover an Accessible World, for an Accessible Life

You are welcome @KalyanPal

There are outdoor accessible areas near to where you live?

If you are thinking about submitting an accessible place, please let us know.

We are beta-testing this way to contribute right now, and the contributors are very excited. (you will discover more on Sunday)

See you there

Thanks @KashifMisidia , I am happy that you will follow us, to discover how easy is to contribute in Accessible Life.

After the launch we will have for sure other meet-ups, to be able to interact in person, and to give details about the tools.

The Local Guides who are already testing the program are super excited. You will have their feedback live next Sunday
