We’re taking our #OneAccessibility efforts to Ikeja in Lagos! Join us as we highlight two different parks and talk about what makes those parks accessible. We’ll begin the journey exploring Johnson Jakande Tinubu (JJT) Park and then take a 5-minutes walk to Ndubuisi Kanu Park down the street during the second half of the meet-up. We will also take some photos of the area to update on the map. All local guides, friends and supporters are invited! Wear comfortable clothing. Prompt arrival is highly encouraged as we will be on the move. See you then!
The First was at Ikoyi, Now this is Ikeja… I am a bit skeptical considering the traffic at this time of the evening but then… Oshodi to Ikeja is not that far and hopefully I will be out early.
Just as a reminder that you can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name so they can receive this way a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.
@ChinonsoOnukwugha I got an email on a change in the time for this Meetup to now be 1730-1900. I’m hearing that the park closes by 1800. Do you have a special arrangement with the Park Management?
Great question, JJT Park closes at 6:30pm so we can take can analyse the accessibility and take pictures before the park closes down than catch up for the last 30 mins.
Several people mentioned work issues and traffic, and I want people who plan to attend to be able to!
