Accessible Estaciones Tren Eléctrico, Lima

Hello, my friends! How are you guys doing!

Today I took the electric train in Lima to go to a meetup that I organized.
The nearest station from my house is the station called “La Cultura”, which is located in the district of San Borja, next to the Grand National Theater of Lima. What surprised me, apart from the modernity of the train, were all the help points for people with disabilities. Despite being a crowded place people with disabilities have priority to buy tickets, reload tickets, enter the terminal, go to the place where the trains arrive and sit preferentially inside the trains.

I got off at the Presbitero Maestro station and found the same benefits, so I consider this transportation option very valid and recommended. The advice would logically be to try to avoid peak hours in order to have more comfort.

I am sharing a few pictures to point out those benefits!

Best wishes,

Marco … from PERU!

I just have interest in science and technology and when I see one , I will always be drawn to it. The Lima metro look modern, beautiful and clean from the picture. Saying boarding priority is given to people with disabilities is a good thing because it is usually not the case in other places. @marcorp thanks for sharing .

@Emmik20 glad you liked it. It is modern indeed, extremely crowded though so the advise is avoiding rushing hours.

First of all, it looks so clean; this is very important.

And, secondly, the accessible sign is a great thing. It’s a must needed job to be done in every station.

Thanks, @marcorp for the post.

@Nyainurjanah hello there… buses are the most common by far but hopefully electric trains will take the reigns eventually… they are cheap and modern, the issue is that there are not too many routes yet… so investment from the government is needed… what about your country? what is the most popular mode of transportation?

Nice post @marcorp . The station is so modern with alot of traffic signals. It uses electricity which means there is no need of burning fossils fuel. So it uses clean energy and contribute less to global warming. Thanks for sharing it here with us on connect @marcorp
