Accessible Bangladesh, Part: 3 (Barishal River Port Area)

Barishal Reiver Port is a very important place to the people of southern Bangladesh. Every day, thousands of people from the districts of Barishal Division use this river port to travel which makes it very busy. Various kinds of people use this port for travel and among them, disabled people are not less in number. The nearby Barishal Freedom Fighter Park is also a popular place for city dwellers. Disabled people also visit this park to get fresh air.

Bangladesh government is going to lift up all kinds of restrictions/lockdown from the 19th of August, 2021. So, I am going to arrange a meet-up on: Accessible Bangladesh, Part #3, Barishal River Port Area (including the park) to check the available Accessibility features there. In this meet-up we will do the following things:

1. 
   We will check Wheelchair Accessibility in Barishal River Port.
2. 
   We will check and update Wheelchair Accessible parking and entrance in Barishal River Port…
3. 
   We will check and update the Wheelchair-Accessible ramps (if any).
4. 
   We will check the availability of wheelchair-Accessible toilet/restroom there
5. 
   We will check and update any other accessibility features found there.
6. 
   A discussion session.
7. 
   We will spend 75 minutes in the port and 45 minutes in the park.

Date: 20th August 2021
Time: 4.00 pm to 6.00pm

What you need to do:

1. Wear a face mask during the meet-up
2. If possible, bring hand sanitizer
3. You can bring your mobile and camera
4. If you feel sick, please do not join us.
