Hello LGs, we are glad to announce a Worldwide Accessibility meet-up in commemoration of the annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This is a United Nations observance which is held 3rd December annually. Local Guides all over the world are coming together to add lots of accessibility information on Google Maps. This meet-up will be help simultaneously in Nigeria, India and Uruguay so far! Join us in Amsterdam to make the city a memorable one for people with disabilities. We will look at the Amsterdam specificities : stairs, paved roads, small doors, bike lanes… All Local Guides and newbies are invited. This is the first meet-up I host! I have been to the Connect Live Event 2018, where I’ve met people committed to add accessibility information to Maps thus making the world more inclusive! It motivated me to do the same in Amsterdam, and maybe encourage you to do the same as well Please wear warm and confortable clothes, as the weather in Amsterdam is getting colder! Bring along your cameras, phones, 360 cameras or just come to learn about this advocacy! The tour should take about 2 hours, and will start and finish at the Skinny Bridge (Magere Brug), since it is quite central and easy to meet each other. The plan is to focus on the Amsterdam-Centrum district (1km perimeter), the most frequented area in Amsterdam. We will take photos, add reviews ; hopefully discuss future meet-ups and Connect Live Events. See you soon!
