“Driving around just to escape from the ROOM” That’s what I think whenever I am bored during this pandemic period. And this thinking led me to an idea of Accessibility Car Drive. The idea is simple, just stay in the car and identify the wheelchair accessibility entrances. This will help us keep our social distancing SOPs and at the same time drive around, capture the places and share it on the Google Map. Pandemic has stopped us progress. Emails we usually used to get from Google telling us about our progress were so encouraging. For this meetup, I have selected Iqbal Town market because the shops are right next to each other, not even a meter away. From local brands of clothing to international brands of food-chain all are located in this market. The plan is to gather early in the morning to avoid heavy traffic and public turnover. There will be no stopovers for snacks breaks but you can obviously bring your snacks by your own. It would be interesting to edit the map and learn about the accessibility features available here. So let’s get back to the routine as the smart lockdown has enabled us to move around with a little bit of freedom.
