About video posting

~There is some problem when I post video 2 or more together. One video post immediately but the second one is not visible in my contribution.

~is there is any google video editing software available for local guide?

  • As far as I can see you don’t have any video posted under your contributions.

  • [edit. thanks to @MortenCopenhagen ] Google [-] provide [a basic] video editing software [Google Photos], but you can [also] find several free app in Google Play

I just wanted to pop in and mention that Google Photos on Android do allow us to edit videos.

Thanks @MortenCopenhagen , in fact you are right.

My bad, because when I edit a video I made more complex edit / assembling, but for basic edits Google photos is perfect

Looks like we have a big issue here.

I want to inform you that I’ve merged the two identical post you posted here with two different accounts.

This is against the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions : “Contributions to Google Maps must originate from a single Google account to count towards benefits and cannot be transferred between owned accounts”.

Please exit from the Local Guides Program with one of the accounts. Local Guides that are contributing with more than one account are normally banned.

I also see that you reviewed some place twice. It is one of the most wrong things that can be done, and in some countries it is legally punished (rating alteration). Please delete all the reviews where you reviewed a place twice.

I also checked your last video. where you are driving for 30 second, and you attached the video to a bus station. Are you joking or what? I could say the same for also blurred photos taken by driving, or same photo submitted with both account.

Regarding the issue, can you please respond to my original question? What procedure are you using to acquire and post the video? For more details about the different procedures please read: Add, remove, or share photos in Google Maps

Sir i am really sorry for what I have done. Actually i am not use to local guide community app or web interphase and i wanted to post my problem from this account but as my chrome is logged in whit that mail id so i post that accidentally from that account. Please Mercy me for my mistake and i am really sorry for westing yor valuable time :pensive:

Well, @babai

the problem is not that you posted “accidentally” with another account.

Only Local Guides can post in Connect, if your other account were not a Local Guide account, you wouldn’t have been able to post.

The problem is to have two Local Guides accounts, and to review the same place, or to add the same photo, with both accounts. It is not something that happened yesterday, both accounts started to contribute around six years ago.

The solution is simple, and it is not to hide the other profile, like you did. The solution is to remove what posted in Maps with two accounts and to exit from the program with one of them.

Easy and fast, so I hope you can do it quickly. Keeping both profiles visible will help Google to understand that the issue has been fixed. I see you are already cleaning the other account. Thanks for this

Q-1- I posted the video from Google photos directly using the shear button from it

Q-2- procedure of exiting from Google local guide program?

  • Even if there is an integration between Google Apps, the one followed by you is not one of the procedures suggested by Google Maps, and explained in Add, remove, or share photos in Google Maps . In addition, the upload of a video in Google Maps has some limitation in size (max. 75 MB), duration (Max 30 seconds) and resolution (720p or higher). Can you please try by following the steps mentioned in the already mentioned article?
  • To exit from the program follow the instruction in My account
