To my mind it develops fair competition and makes service providers get better.
I am an electrical engineer. As you may know, the World Bank DOING BUSINESS project makes electric power industry get better by assessing quality. But in the absence of free software available to all electricity consumers, it’s impossible to make real assessment . In my dreams, business will have the available software product to use the services and provide an objective assessment. Just like google maps)
So I am sure that the development of technology will make my dreams come true.
