Abdo Khiar is healthy and simple food, and due to heat in the summer, it is the food of all Iranians. Because of the ingredients, it’s the best food to relieve the thirst and fatigue caused by heat.
The ingredients of this meal are Yogurt, Walnuts, Cucumber, Onion, Salt, Peppers, Raisins, Radishes, Varieties of Vegetables like Pennyroyal, Basil, Peppermint.

I’m curious on how do you eat it, as it looks liquid. Do you eat it with a spoon? Do people also dip their breads on it? I’m compelled to do that with every dish with a sauce so I would definitely dip a bread on it if it were me.

It reminds me a lot of a traditional cold soup that we have in our country, it’s called Tarator. It doesn’t have that many ingridients, but we also have it as a summer dish, usually appetizer or a light dinner. It consists of yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, salt, dill and walnuts.
