A Winter Pitha Fair

Bangladesh is a country of various kind of cultural program. Winter is the best season here for many kinds of cultural program, such as, pitha utsob (pitha fair), baul utsob(baul song program), pir morshider urosh(religious program of holy person). Today I am gonna tell you about a pitha prgram of our area. It’s a joyfull program. It’s arranged by Rehana Majid Mohila College, which is a famous and only girls colleg of Homna. Every year 13 th February they organise this program. Beside this at the same time they also organise a stage performing show , where students sing, dance, act in front of audience to represent our culture and country. My heartfull welcome you guys to visit this program.This program started at local time 10 am and end at 4 pm.

You can’t imagine !!, how many kinds of pitha they make. There names also so lovely, as like , jhinuk pitha,, Hridoy horon pitha, dim pitha, Golap pitha, pakwan pitha, vapa pitha, sondes pitha, noksi pitha, andesa pitha and so many.. there ingredients are so common but making proses is different. Ingredients they used in this cakes are , flour, sugar , egg, oil, coconut, and food color. Some of them made with chicken and vegetable.

Administration of this college one by one.. the name of this stall are according various flower name.. one of the best and nice cake maker stall qualified to get rewards from administration . Every stall decorated with nice flower and various kind of our cultural equipment that represent our country and culture.

This looks amazing with all the colors and the delicious food. I would love to experience this event first hand one day, and try these pitha.

I think it’s great to have an event that shows others what your country and culture has to offer.

thanks for your interest in our culture. It will be so glad for me if you come to Bangladesh at this event. My favourite pitha is Vapa which’s made with rice, suger and coconut. It’s so soft and fluffy. It’s prepared with boiled water. It’s only make in winter season. It’s very popular in Bangladesh from kids to old person.

I wish i could come and see the event myself @AlaminRehan , but unfortunately I will not have time.

Just from your description, the Vapa pitha could very well become my favorite too. It sounds absolutely delicious.

Hello @MortenSl, Iam so happy that you are interested about my post. Yes I will be write about this year upcoming winter pitha fair and many many thank you for your support for me to be a good writer in local guid connect. I use map since 2011 but in local guid connect I am a baby, just like new born baby. I don’t know anything about it. But day by day you and our great moderator Mahabub Munna Vai , both are helping me to be a good local guid. It’s so great to me. Thank you again.
