A window to the world

As a child I remember that my father used to travel a lot across Latin America. That made me wonder how all the places he visits were.

The first time I got in touch with Google Maps (Even though at that time it was Google Earth) I felt it was a window to the world, it show me places that I dreamed of visit and therefore help me to set objectives on what to visit once I make it there and how to make the most out of a travel.

Nowadays I got the fortune to work on a job that allows me to travel, and when I visit places my father had visited before I ask him of places to visit. When I share my experiences with him he is always surprised about the new places I show him, and he says that he wished he had the knowledge back in the day to make out the most out of the free time he had.

I think then how many travelers are like my father who missed stuff by not knowing that they are nearby? How many hidden jewels are we missing? I got my father experiences and sometimes found that they were not on the map, So, why not add those places and help fellow travelers to enjoy the most out of their time.

I decided to carry my camera on all travels to share with the world my experiences and get ideas from others on what to do. I love that people can get new ideas for their travels by using Google maps and that’s the reason I love to contribute to this community.
