This time, story is located in woods of Fruška Gora (National park of Serbia).
A friend invited me for a weekend in the woods, and I happily agreed. I’d never slept in the woods before, so I felt both excited and a bit nervous, even though my friends were experienced in this. We chose Fruška Gora mountain.
About Fruška Gora…
Fruska Gora - the only mountain in Vojvodina and one of the most developed tourist destinations in Serbia. Fruska gora, a low, island mountain, is located in the north of Serbia, in Srem. It is known for the fact that there is a national park within it, which is known for its diverse flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes and spacious picnic areas.
After getting all the camping stuff, we headed there. It was about a 30-minute drive from Novi Sad’s center.
It wasn’t like regular camping. I was with people from different countries, and meeting them made me really happy. I got to learn about their cultures, which was pretty interesting.
One funny memory was figuring out how to cook when we had both meat lovers and vegans. Since we had only one grill, we came up with a simple solution:
Honestly, those vegetable and tofu skewers turned out delicious.
