A Walk on the windy side

My local story is about the Wind and Water mills that I went searching for on the other end of my island. A three day trip was spent crossing boundaries, breaking thru hedges, wandering by the shore and gaining friends along the way. The best find was a 93 year old whom had lost her husband and was longing for someone to talk to, which she did. After an hour she finally let me go with directions to the next windmill, which I was able to find. If you want to retrace my Journey, it starts at the Watermill in Watermill, NY, and ends at the replica of the Beebe Windmill in Sag Harbor, NY. There are seven you can freely visit, three more are on private property and one is used by a famous Avenger. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

Hi@BeeCee

Thanks you for the pic and the information.

Best.

Visited Beebe Mill and added to my windy walkabout…

Also got to shoot the Wainscott mill in Georgica Pond, despite it being within a homeowners association area…
